Suspenders or as we in the USA call them garter belts are the safest, surest bet, Nd way more sexy too. You can wear a better quality of stockings with suspenders because the suspenders hold them up. Hold ups are seldom ultra sheer, because the need so much Lycra in them to keep them up and from wrinkling and falling down. If your legs are a bit thin,the tend to slide down, if they are a bit thick on the thigh they tend to bite in and leave an ugly little bump on your legs.

Regular stockings with a garter belt if adjusted properly stay put all day and are way more comfortable.

Suspenders are probably more reliable if you get the good stuff because the clip mechanism is something that actually holds the stocking in place.... otherwise, hold-ups might hold up if you know what I mean??

Surley you jest! Suspenders or garter belts are the only way to wear stockings, hold ups are tights cut off at the panty with little elastic bands sewn on.

Suspenders or garter belts, whatever you call them are soooo much better than hold ups. Hold ups are never very sheer and the elastic or ace tops are either too loose and they slip down, or too tight and they itch and leave marks. They show thorough skirts more than regular stockings with a garter belt too, because the tops are so thick.

suspenders they are way more comfortable and reliable, and look and feel 100% more sexy. And guess what Rhoda, most guys don't take them off, if you wear your undies where you are suposed to, which is over the garter belt and stockings, nothing gets in the way, Guys seem love making love to a girl in stockings and suspenders, and for us its a real treat too cuz they get verry passionate.

I like regular stockings that are held up with a garter belt. Holdups are never as nice, and they tend to fall down or leave a mark on my thighs. Regular stockings are way more sheer, because they don't all that Lyra to hold them up, adjustable garters do that.

Guys, i notice all have a distinct preference for garter belts too. They look way more sexy, and they give a sexier feeling when wearing them..

There is only one kind of real stockings and they require a garter belt(suspenders) the others are just pantyhose with elastic tops and no panties. They are thick, and inferior loaded with Lycra to keep then up, not sheer like real stockings

I prefer hold ups. Suspenders may be sexier but hold ups are more practical. Suspenders are too fiddly to put on straight and the clips show through your skirt. Hold ups with broader lace tops don't leave such big marks on your legs and I find mine usually stay up just fine.

I consistently positioned on stockings with my suspender belts. I certainly have a type of suspenders belts, often six straps and,some with 8, ten and, twelve is the optimum. My husband loves me to teach off a glimpse of stocking and suspender, so attractive !!!!
