Palmeiro won't because of the steriods
Pettitte will...one of the best pitchers in October of all-time
Posada won't
Hoffman has more saves than anyone in the history of baseball, so yeah, he is a lock
Vizquel...I doubt it...he's a Ozzie Smith type player, but not quite as good as the Wizard
Gonzalez won't...he had a rather short career and just didn't quite put up the numbers
Piazza...has the best power numbers ever for a catcher, so yes
Kent...best power numbers for a second baseman, but probably iffy because Utley looks like he's going to pass Kent in everything
Bagwell...He'll be discussed, but I think he will just miss the HOF
Soriano...it's way to early in his career, if he keeps putting up the numbers he has, he'll definitly be considered

1. Palmeiro wasn't overall great, he played just long enough to get to 500 HRS... hard to say... definitely not first ballot...
2. eventually Pettitte might get in but definitely not first ballot...
3. Posada... consistent hitter but without the WS rings who would really know him? What if he had played for KC or Tampa his whole career with the same numbers but no rings? very shaky... not very likely... if he gets in, it would have to be heavily weighted by the rings...
4. Trevor Hoffman... definitely first ballot but won't be... will get in quicker than most think...
5. Omar Vizquel is a very intriguing choice... very solid over many years and different teams... not first ballot but eventually will get in...
6. If Juan Gone played his whole career like the first three years or so of his career and with the same team, it would be a definite "in" but not first ballot... but, I'm really not sure about him... should he be in? I don't know...
7. The power numbers for Piazza at his playing position will get him in, but not first ballot... should be though...
8. Another intriguing choice like Vizquel... very solid player, but does consistency deserve the HOF?
9. Yeah I would think Bags gets in, not first ballot...
10. Still too early... depends on a lot of tangents... Soriano is a nice guy, but that doesn't get you in the HOF by itself...
