(number of diploid chromosomes:)
1. Cat (domestic) = 38
2. Parrot = {variable upon species}-->58 for the budgerigar, 80 for the canary
3. Frog = 26
4. Butterfly= 380
5. Rose = 14
6. Cockroach={varies upon species} --> 33 for American cockroach,23 in German cockroach
7. Mango = 40
8. Milkfish = 72 (????not sure)
9. Monkey = 48
10. Earthworm = 36
