Can I Break My lease due to Buglery... I have lived in my apartments for 7 months now and my car has been broken in to two times now, i have had some one try to kick in my door while Me my wife and two boys were sleeping and Two of my neighbors apartments were broken into one the guy was still in side when she got home and the office was broken in to also and i got a notice the next day saying the computers with all my info were stolen and could be used. Mind you this is in a two month span.. what should i do? and can i break my lease?

Have you got a Government association that deals with these type of things? You will need to put all these things in writing to the Landlord and or Agent, asking them for more security, give a reasonable time frame, say a month. Get your neighbours to write as well. If they don't do anything, then go the the Estate Agents Bord of the Rental Authorities.

If the landlord has done nothing to either encourage or allow such activities to occur, you then do not have a valid reason to break your lease, at least not without a penalty as determined by the landlord.

Think of it along these lines. If you had purchased a home and the same things happened, would you think you could stop paying your mortgage for those reasons ?
