I trace my descent from the Frankish King Dagobert II, who died in 679. He was in effect the last King of the Merovingian dynasty truly to wield power.

I am descended from the Wittelsbachs and the Badens in Bavaria.
My grandmother had some distant cousins descended from the Habsburgs. They met in the 1960s when she went to Switzerland.
I have more royals probably since they all married each other back then.

Virtually everyone is descended from royalty if you go back enough generations. Anyone with a drop of European blood is descended from Charlemagne, for example.

I come from some royalty but it was at least ten generations back. I think most people of European descent have some royal blood in them but just don't know it.

I am supposedly related to Queen Wilhelmina, but as far as I know nobody knows for sure. That's really my only claim to fame. Nobody ever believes me though. Or when they do, they call me princess. Kinda nice to be called princess when you are having a bad day.
