None of the above:
Man is most likely the cause of extinction of life on earth. Man causes global warming which leads to erratic weathers, super volcanoes, methane erruptions. Man also invents artificial intelligence, creates killer viruses, uses up all the fuel which leads to hunger, starvation and wars (nuclear wars).

i think it would most likely be nuclear world war.or some kind of asteroid or meteor we would end up killing each other off.Artificial Intelligence thinking they have been slaves to human kind could not be possible cause that wouldnt be programmed into there memory.I think super volcanoes are predictable so they would be able to evacuate people into a safe place.still the human race cannot go extinct from one cause unless that cause involves a poisonous gas.event then one part of the globe will notice and warn the rest of the globe.unless the earth goes into the sun

Global warming happened before and life didn't go extinct. Volcanoes erupted before - we're still here. Same with most of the causes you listed (save, perhaps, aliens, lol). I will vote for WWIII, I think that's the only thing that still has the benefit of a doubt.

Well, if you go by that famous poem...
"Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire."
Well, if you were to go with that, either the global warming, atomic bombs, or supervolcanoes are a strong possibility.
But then again...
"But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice"
Really, our world is so fragile that anything could destroy it.

I think the only plausible answer is nuclear world war 3
all the other causes are extremely unlikely to wipe out ALL life completely from earth
Only nuclear weapons have the potential heat energy and electromagnetic radiation sufficient to kill everything

Ive thought for the last 40 years it would be a mutated air killer virus with no antidote.
And that it visibly comming true- with disease now crossing species like bird flu.
The earth is inbuilt very clever-we are ruining it- so its trying to shake us off like tics- global warming will kill millions in different ways- but the virus will get most of us.
A small handful will survive -those who have built up resistance to disease because they are poor.
(The meek will inherit the earth)

I think life on earth will become extinct because of over population which causes more pollution and using up irreplaceable resources.

To eliminate life on Earth completely, you need to completely eliminate Earth itself.
Life is too strong to be eliminated by the tiny things you mentioned.
