I'm having a bit of a dilemma. I have a job interview tomorrow at a trendy clothing store and I'm not sure what the proper attire would be for this type of interview. Generally I go for the drab pants suit but it doesn't seem like that’s the right outfit for this. I should add thats its kind of like a Wet Seal type store ya know leggings short skirts, skinny jeans and 4 inch heels... that kind of trendy.
HELP PLEASE!!!
P.S. Please factor in shoes as well (heels how tall is too tall?)

Since you are going to a job interview, stick w/ the "drab" suit w/ a colorful blouse. Use accessories to show your personal style.

Examples: - a colorful handbag

-bold earrings or necklace (Not rings or bracelets - they can be distracting if you use your hands to make a point during the interview.)

- interesting shoes (ankle boots, colorful pumps or flats). Keep heel height 2 inches max. since the job you're applying for involves being on your feet for extended periods.

Wear soft, natural makeup so you look well groomed and the interviewer can focus on what you are saying.

You can wear your hair up or down but make sure it looks neat & practical too - like you are ready to work. Since it's a trendy store, hair accessories worn at the back of your head would be okay.

Good luck.

You should always wear something respectful to an interview. You can't screw up by overdressing. But you can screw up by underdressing. Since this is a cool store, can you dress up your suit with shiny pumps for shoes and a thick belt around the middle? Or possibly a longer white shirt with large collar with big hoop earrings.

Good luck with your interview.
