Check the video cable. Make sure that it is properly secured. Check that there are no bent pins. the red video is carried on pins 1 and 6 on the ends of the top and center row of pins, so they are prone to not connecting properly if the connector is not inserted properly. Also they can get bent if the connector is pushed in before these pins are aligned properly.


If the cable is O.K., do you get a test message if you disconnect the video cable? If so, does it have red in it? If not then you monitor is broken. If it does , your monitor may still be broken, but it may be a fault in the video cable. If you can, try replacing the cable.

Check the video drivers on the machine. Prolly find ya need to change/update them.
