Yes. With three kids and diaper bags, blankets and car seats in the cart, as well as coats for everyone plus a purse, it's easy to walk out of the store without paying for something tiny that got shoved under one of those many items. BUT, when I discovered that I'd done this, I turned right around and took it back in and paid for it, or took it in and put it on the shelf nearest the door. Can't raise kids to be honest if you don't show them that you practice what you preach.

When Im drinking, I tend to steal lighters from friends. Also, a few days ago, I went to make a copy of a key at the grocery store, and I left without paying. I didn't even realize I left without paying until I got home and my mom asked how much it cost...
Whoops!! :-)

The word stealing implies intent to take something. I've had something in my grocery cart that I didn't see until I got to my car, but I wouldn't call that stealing.
