Ha! I did that all the time! I should start doing it again with the gas prices going up! The only bad part is if one of my dogs sees a cat I'll be going over hedges and through fences! Maybe I should wear a helmet like I did when I road on the short school bus.

i used to live on a farm with my late grandparents and all that we had were a barn full of cats and 5 cows...tied my skateboard/scooter/bicycle on Nelly a couple of times but she prefers to eat and just hang around the fields than pulling me...

Yes I used to all the time (don't have my dog anymore) The only bad part is whenever he happened to see a squirrel...ouch. Offroad action just never really worked out very nicely...maybe I should've got a longboard.
