What do you think to this statement.(The Society of Editors Conference in Manchester said that the number of individuals in the UK identified as having links with terrorism had risen to at least 2,000 from 1,600 in 2006.) Why aren't they they all deported. We would not be in this situation if we had listened to the only man who new what was going to happen in this country Enoch Powell. Also young people as young as 15 are being groomed as terrorists.

I totally agree with you. The thing is this crap about us having to tone down our Christmas celebrations because they don't celebrate as loudly as we do. Can I just say one thing and this will make sense to everyone that reads this: When I can go to Pakistan in a mini skirt and a bra with a pint of bear in my hand then I will change for them. We shouldn't feel scared to walk the street in case one of there idiots have been brain washed to believe that god or Allah as they call him would think that he wants them to kill Innocent people who haven't done anything wrong at all. Anyway in the Koran so they say it says killing one man is like killing all of man kind. So why is it happening and I agree to deport the bastards before they kill anymore innocent people for there own pleasure.

Because you can't deport people for thinking about it you have to have concrete proof, and many are second or third generation British Nationals, the European Court of Human Rights would have a field day, i suggest that we start with some of these mosques which promote hardline tactics and are the breeding ground for today's and tomorrows terrorists. And a totally toothless government that has let the situation get to this point. They don't deport foreign rapists, murderers, criminals, even though that was on their manifesto. I also think that the 2,000 figure is on the low side, and that this will only get worse. The Muslim community must be involved in stamping this out, but i can't see that happening and the fact that Labour needs many of these people to keep them in power then i don't see how we can get rid of them. As one who lives in the capital and was around when the IRA bombed and maimed at will over many years i fear for the future.

One reason is in all risk that Indian Muslims are very wealthy for the main section. between the inhabitants of India (over 1000000000) there are easily extremist Muslim terrorists. it is risky to label countries like India and Pakistan as terrorist countries nevertheless by means of fact the two countries have nukes. additionally, depsite combating with one yet another, India and Pakistan have had sturdy kinfolk with the U. S..

If we did what Enoch Poewll wanted, the rest of the world would have nothing to do with us. As for links with terrorism, most of these people will never be dangerous & the ones that could be would just go further under cover if we started deporting any silly sod.

I think you have to put things into perspective. When I was younger (18/19) there were open collections in many 'Irish' pubs in London collecting for the IRA, such was the support in sections of the community. That does not mean that everyone who put money in the hat was going to walk out of that pub and plant a bomb. I think such a statement you are making needs to be tempered with information about what those 'links' actually are.

Enoch Powell was also largely responsible for closing so many mental hospitals and promoting "care in the community", you, and quite a few other people on here should be grateful for that.

This question opens up, for me anyway, a much larger debate. I agree with your sentiments and deny being any sort of overt or covert racist. It and any many other questions boil down to the unfortunate lack of a ministry or department or think tank or whatever of a bureau of common sense which thinks along agreed inter-party logical lines. And STUFF political correctness!
