Fitness... the fitter i get the lower my resting heart rate gets (all the way down to about 52-55bpm when at peak fitness)
stress - obviously
blood pressure i think can affect your heart rate
activity - you can change ur own heart rate by moving around or by deep breathing

you dont really give any details. what sort of factors are you looking for?

Heart beat rate increases during active exercise. This is as a result of lowering the pH of the blood due to high levels of carbon dioxide and low oxygen levels. Rate lowers at rest.

Lowering the body temperature lowers the heart rate, raising the body temperature increases the heart rate.

Emotional stress (due to anxiety, anger and laughter) increases blood pressure.

Injuries and wounds to the body increase blood pressure.

Infections and failures of other body organs can increase blood pressure. For example, overactivity of the thyroid gland increases the heart rate. Underactivity of the thyroid has the opposite affect.

Age and gender also affect blood pressure.
