Why heat it at all? Most Doctors give their infants milk right from the frig. Less regurgitation of the milk.

Microwaving breaks breast milk down. If I needed it heated up fairly quickly I would take a cup of water, heat it up in the microwave, and then put the bag or bottle of milk inside the cup until the milk was warmed.

Breast feeding must be made directly--from mother, without using other techniques--heated in a microwave or fridged. Clean the breasts before giving milk to your babies.Other methods are not safe.

no your not supposed to put breast milk in the microwave. Put the bag or bottle of cold breast milk into a cup of hot water and it should heat up pretty quick

I would advise against heating milk in the microwave, when you take it out it will have hot spots that could burn the baby's mouth. I put water in a bowl and put that in the microwave, get it nice and hot, then put the bottle in the water for about 2-3 minutes. I check the milks temperature on my wrist, if you can't feel it, then it is the perfect temp.

No, breast milk should not be heated in a microwave. Microwave does not heat liquid evenly and nutrient value of milk will be lost. You can thaw the refrigerated milk by keeping in warm water.

Heating milk in the microwave can destroy contents of breasmilk. I rather thaw the milk with warm water to evenly heat it than using microwave and if you did try to shake the bottle upside down several times and check milks temperature using the dorsum of your hand.

Microwaving it destroys nutrients. Same thing goes for formula. Plus it doesn't always heat it evenly so hot spots are created than can burn your baby. I always kept a crock-pot on low and would stick the bottle in there for a couple minutes. Then swish it around really well (don't shake it cause that will create bubbles and give the baby a tummy ache).

No it isn't it causes the milk to change and sour faster. Heat it under hot water or set it out earlier then when the child wants it.
