5 Days of Diwali
Diwali is a Hindu festival, which occurs in the month of Kartika. In India innumerable communities with varying cultures and customs mingle together to make Diwali celebrations a very happy occasion for all. The festival of lights and fireworks is celebrated for 5 days. This festival gives an occasion to meet families and friends t, enjoy and establish a word of closeness. Gifts are exchanged and special dishes are prepared. People decorate their houses .The celebration Stars with Dhanteras and ends with Bhai Duj.
The 5 Diwali Days are-
Dhanteras
Choti Diwali
Main Diwali
Padwa
Bhai Duj
The First Day or Dhanteras
Dhanteras marks the beginning of Diwali celebrations. This day has a great importance for the rich mercantile community of western India. Houses and business premises are renovated and decorated.
The Second Day or Choti Diwali
The second day of Diwali is called Narak Chaturdasi or Choti Diwali. . On this day Lord Krishna destroyed the demon Narakasur and made the world free from fear.
The Third day or Main Diwali This is the day when worship of Mother Lakshmi is performed. Hindus believe that Goddess Lakshmi will bring the blessings of wealth and prosperity, the triumph of good over evil and light over darkness.
The Fourth Day or Padwa
Govardhana Puja is also performed in this day.
The Fifth day or Bhai Duj
The fifth day of the diwali is called Bhai Duj. On this day sisters perform puja for their brothers safety and well-being. Brothers in return give Bhai Dooj Gifts to their sisters as a token of love.

We celebrate Dhanterash as a Laxmi puja.Laxmi means wealth.Wealth is a great power.Our ancient people believed that wealth should be use for a devine work like upliftment of humanity,to suport moral & spiritual value,For bringing life oriented thoughts to un to the last human, to creat revrence for human, nature, animal and for every creation on thr earth.
Hindu wisdom belive that there is a secreat help of god behind anybody's sucsess.We have to remember on this day that lord you select me for this wealth.Definetly you aspect that this wealth being use in good & dewine work. If any one use it wrong way then he suport wrong massage in society and suprim power don't want any action which is against huminity,moral and spiritual value as a result god stop to suport any one who misuse wealth.
So this is the day for pray to god that yes i always look laxmi as a mother.Give me a power,when laxmimata nursing society i am being her instrument.

Dhanterash: We celebrate this day because in the whole year this is the day when most of the people worship godess laxmi .
Because godess laxmi is thegoddess of laxmi{wealth and money} Dhan means wealth . So people celebrated dhanterash.
Vadh barash: This is the last day after this diwali starts . so people does not celebrate it but they clean their house, brings clothes , buy sweets and eatables. In short in this day people start preparetion of diwali .
