It might be a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there. Heck most Cubans don't want to live there.

If you are a citizen of Cuba, you cannot go to your own country's beautiful beaches because they are reserved for the rich Europeans and Americans who fly to Cuba via France, then on to Cuba, sInce it is illegal to fly from USA to Cuba.
Most Cubans live in abject poverty. Their cars are 1957-1958-59 models if they have a car. Because that is the car they had when Castro started his dictatorship. I am involved with an organization that takes medicines and clothes and gives money to get food to the people who live outside of Havana in the worst conditions. The health care system is the worst in the world. It is very sad. Go to Miami...and talk to some of the million or so Cubans in Florida who managed in peril of their lives to escape Castro's evil regime.

Cause we're not a communist country. If Cuba is so great, then why are Cubans floating across the Caribbean on a piece of driftwood to escape from their own country? If you think it's great, i urge you to go. I'm sure you would have your computer and your internet taken away, so if you disagree with that, I'd rethink your position on Cuba.

I haven't visited Cuba so I can't say whether it is a success or a failure but whether it is or not, the system they have won't work here for the reasons I mentioned. Many of us would also reject Cuba's system on general principals.

Because Cuba is a very weak, Communist country with very misguided ideals and ran by even more misguided malcontents.

Believe me when I say that it wouldn't be a nice place to live.

Because Cuba is Communist and most Americans are not really ready to surrender all to the government.

Why on earth would we want to? There's a reason why people flee to America & not vice versa. If you don't appreciate our freedoms then sail on! Cuba would be glad to have you, I'm sure.

Oh sure are real nice place if you like communist dictatorships, no freedom of speech or freedom of the press, and when there is an election you get your choice of candidates: Castro, Castro , Castro and Castro....Oh yeah I for got to mention Castro. If you don't vote or you speak out against Castro soldiers come into your home arrest you and your family then shoot you. Sounds like a real nice place....NOT!
