Try the 10,000 steps a day walking program. Get yourself a little pedometer and a stroller and go walking! Most people walk about 3,000 to 4,000 steps a day in their normal routine (housework, grocery store visits, etc.) If you increase that to 10,000 steps (which would be about a 30 to 40 minute walk) you'll lose 2 to 4 lbs a week without even changing your diet. I've lost 15 lbs so far doing this!

Right after you have a baby, it's natural not to feel your old self again. It feels like you are carrying an excess of 30, 40 pounds than you would normally weigh. You shouldn't be hard on yourself because taking the baby weight is often harder than it sounds. Sometimes it can take 6-8 months. Some people are lucky enough that they return to their usual weight after a few months but for a lot of other people, you really do have to exercise very hard to lose the weight. Anyhow, walking is a great exercise to lose the belly fat. If you have the energy after looking after the baby and are up to it, you should take your walks when the baby is sleeping in the stroller. Good luck.

It is not easy for most of us mums but I was told by a Doctor (my Ob actually) that it took 9 m to put the weight on so it should take that length of time, but more likely around 12 months if you exercise and eat sensibly. If you are breastfeeding it will be a little harder to lose the last few pounds because your body uses the body fat to help make the milk, so take it easy if you are breastfeeding.
Good luck, Btw I had a baby 11 m ago and I have lost 70% of the weight, hoping that after I finish breastfeeding I can get rid of the stubborn last bits, lol

Healthy eating, breast feeding and light exercise ie walking vacumming sweeping or mopping floors etc. (hey who says housework isnt benificial?)should help you to lose quite a bit of the after baby weight.. Don't be discouraged by the "jello belly" this will take time to lose...it took you 9 months to aquire it along with your new one.
Try to get as much rest as well, which will leave you with more energy to do the small things that will help in recovering your pre-baby body :)

Breastfeeding is an easy way to burn 500 calories a day.
Also, I read a story once about a woman who went on a baby food diet. Whenever she wanted to snack, she ate baby food fruit flavors. Healthy, low in calories, and tasty enough to eat but bland enough to not overeat.
Just remember, don't starve yourself to lose the weight. You need to be healthy for your new baby! :)

If you happen to be breastfeeding it will come off like magic.
Also, the older your baby gets the more you will be running after him (good exercise), have less time for long lunches (ha,ha) & find yourself wanting to make healthy snacks for him- so in turn-since it's already made-you'll be eating healthy too.
I also love the eliptical trainer, I just jog on it while I watch Grey's anatomy & the news in the morning.

First you have to remember that everything you eat or drink will pass to your baby. Considering this, eating plenty fruits and veggies and spring water will help. and of course, breastfeeding does work wonders.
Pilates works very good because it is a good exercise that helps you get your body back in shape.
Balance is the key, good food+ breastfeeding+exercise= you back in shape.
I hope it works for you and congratulations for the new baby!!! =)

For most people, there is really no healthy, easy way. Exercise and correct eating habits are the only sure fire way. I suggest you talk with some trainers about both your diet and exercise to make sure you do not hurt yourself and that you are eating the things you need to replenish your body. If you are breast feeding, they will need to know that too.
