Yeah, The best thing to do in this situation; is to remember that they are only trying to help, and then i don't feel quite as smothered.

Yes. I feel smothered by idiots who don't read my question properly and give me stupid answers in here.
Especially when they are trying to help with their "opinions". Usually Americans, unfortunately.

Sometimes. I hate it when people try and help without me wanting them to. I can usually help myself and they just get in the way. Though people can be a huge help when I want/need them.

It depends on what that help is, if they are trying to help with things in my life that I am having trouble with then I am thankful that they cared enough about me to do so!! If it is someone trying to help by telling me how to plan out my life or how I should live it, that is not as appreciated!!

no. then again, not many people have ever helped me, so... maybe that's why. {and the ones that have, help me once or twice then give up} Though i have met one or more that were slighly overbearing at times, [partly them, partly just my sensitivity to certain things] but because i knew their intention was to be helpful, i wasn't angry.

sometimes but I tend to be a bit anti-social so .....
people wander away.
On the other side I tend to ask if I can help not press the issue too much

yes,I'm not use to not doing things for my self so if for any reason i have to get help from some one i don't want them to be asking me any questions like why i need it or why didn't someone else help me or any thing like that.so i try to maintain my own personal affairs
