It's an adorable nickname.

It doesn't leave her much to grow into as an adult, and even as a child might leave her drowning in a sea of Kaylees, Kylies and Kaities.

I'd use it as a nickname for Katherine Celia or Kate Caroline. Any KC name, really. Or even Acacia.

IMHO, just plain Kacie makes it sound like she'll be five forever. And I rather imagine that's not your intent!

I love the name but I'm 'on the fence' about the spelling, lol!

I think Casey or Kasey looks better but Kacie is still nice and recognisable to most people. Theres nothing worse than seeing a name and although it sounds normal, its spelt really weird. Kacie is okay though.

best of luck

Generally speaking, I don't like "unique" spelling of names for otherwise common names.

But this is not way out there or very different that people would not know how to pronounce it. I think it is pretty and looks nice too.

I think Kacie is cute. Definately different from the traditional Casey. My cousins name is Kaysy - now I think thats a stupid spelling of the name.

Honestly, I hate it. Not because it isn't cute, its totally cute. It's too cute even. It's the sort of name a grown woman would have a hard time carrying. Also, the spelling is too trendy. Why not name her Cassidy or Cassandra, and just call her Casey?

Only keep "Kacie" if the middle name is something very traditional and that will be used a lot. Like...Kacie Lynn. Or Kacie Ann.

But I like it! :)

Is that pronounced Kay-see or Kaah-see? However you want it pronounced, it'll be easier if people can tell by how it's spelled.

I think it's cute. Of course, I'm biased. I have a grandson with the middle name of Casey. My daughter's grandfather's name was Casimir (Polish name) and his nickname was Casey.
He was a lovely fellow and died when my daughter was in grade school.
