I've recently reformatted my laptop and I've found that the sound doesn't work. How can I fix this? However, Sticky Keys and Alerts (Errors) have there sounds when they occur. However, songs etc. don't work. The HP Pavilion dv2000 has built-in speakers but when I go to control panel and try to adjust the volume it says no speakers are connected. Additionally, when I connect my earphones it still doesn't work. Please Help! I've also downloaded all the Multimedia and Audio files from this link : http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=1817068&prodTypeId=321957&prodSeriesId=1817067&swLang=8&taskId=135&swEnvOID=228
Yet I can't install them into my laptop because it says "Speakers are not found" 10 points for best answer!

Reformatting deletes everything, including the drivers. Immediately after installing the OS you need to install ALL the drivers so that your laptop will work properly. The drivers are usually in the drivers CD that came with your laptop. If gone, download the drivers from HP.
