Are you living in the same state? If the other party isn't lazy in signing the papers, you can get a simplified dissolution. The paperwork packet can be picked up at your local courthouse. You simply fill it out, attach any required documentation such as copies of driver license and SS card, etc., and file it. If one of you is served, it can take up to three weeks. If neither is served and both have signed the petition it's as expedient as the judge signing and the JA filing the copy.

This depends on the laws of your state. Most states have an uncontested divorce. This is sometimes called a no fault or irreconcilable differences divorce. You usually can even handle the paperwork yourself. There are divorce kits online or at Office Depot or other office supply store. Each of you fill out your information and then take it to the local courthouse to file. They will set you a date. Both of you don't even have to be there in front of the judge. A lot cheaper without a lawyer.

i admire Jen, she might have some no longer undemanding situations in coping together with her divorce yet I do elect to work out her circulate on. She did no longer deserve the divorce and Brad's cheating on her, yet perchance that's what ultimate for her. Any guy who finally end up with AJ (Jolie) isn't an honest guy for solid women human beings like Jen!

It's called a "no fault" divorce. One files, the other agrees. Marriage over.

avoid a lawyer, use a mediator or do it all yourselves.
just keep in mind that she/he may discover she/he can get more from you during this process...meaning alimony if you make significantly more than her/him. that could change her/his tune right quick.
