I am a Powerseller on Ebay. Here are some tips I can offer:

1. Make sure you are honest about what you are selling.
2. Write thorough description, but don't get long winded about them either.
3. Take clear pictures, which means, we don't want to see your house in the background. Also use a 3.0 or higher mega pixel camera
4. Be clear on your shipping charges, but don't go overboard on your shipping either
5. Do research on what your item recently sold for. This will give you a good indication on how much your item is worth

There are many other things you can do, however, it is much more than I can type. If you are trying to be a high volume seller, my suggestion is to go to the next convention which is being held in Chicago next summer.

Good Luck!

1)gallary picture helps people can see the product without having to click on the link
2)a nice webpage you can design em on http://www.auctiva.com/
3)start at $0.99
sounds crazy but two weeks ago i started one of my items at $15(a products that is worth $20)no one bid on it. so i lowered it down to $10 for the rest of the week and still no bids. the auction ended without a single bid. i reposted it and start at $0.99 and people bidded on it like crazy and it sold for $25($10 more than i wanted for it!!! plus $0.99 is the cheapest listing fee). now if you have something that is kinda expensive that you are afraid starting at $0.99 might hurt you, you can set a reserve price so you dont have to sell it under a certain price.
4)good keywords this what people are going to type in to find your product so make sure you add many words that people might use to search for that or similar products
5)start and end on a sat or sun most people are off work and do there shopping on the weekend. if you dont mind paying an extra fee start on a thursday and do a 10day auction this will cover 2 weekends increasing the amount of visitors
