I am very anxious (as most mothers are) to have my baby and I am wondering if there is any indication or shoot even a guess, as to when my baby will come. I am due in 7 days and like I said I am almost 4 CM dialated and 75% efaced as of last Friday. However, my baby has not yet dropped but I heard you can drop the same day you go into labor.

Any guess how long I can stay this way? I am getting a few dull pains but nothing bad or regular. Please let me know at least your opinion!!! Thanks!!

FYI: I know I am dialated that far because the doctor checked me during my normal check up that is what she told me.

Your baby will come when he or she is ready too....had your baby dropped before and now has turned??...my niece just had a baby two weeks ago today and her little gal was in the birth canal and then moved and then went back to being in the birth canal again ......being that you are already dialated and so far enfaced I would say it could be at any time....my old grandmother bless her soul always said When the fruit is fully ripe it falls from the tree.....I wish the very very best keep posting and let us know how it goes...good luck

lol just the title of your question made me giggle. I know the feeling.

yes of course it will start eventually...

As for "when" there's no telling...

But from my experience. I was 2 cm dilated until I actually showed up in labor, and by then I was already at 7 cm and 100% effaced.

You'll probably have your baby right on time! If it's your first though it could be a little later.

My son was born "a day early" according to the doc, but exactly the day I picked for him.

Hopefully soon! I know how uncomfy these last few weeks are!!

This could go on for 3 more weeks (sorry to say) most docs wont let you go 2 weeks past your due date so you never know I was dialated to 3 for the last month of my preg. and doc induced 2 days before my due date but only cause I have diabetes and I'm high risk. I know you are ready but dont rush it once it gets here there are no more off days sleep sleep sleep. My daughter is 3 and I havent had a full nights rest since I had her. She sleeps but I always have to check on her several times and I wake up it she breathes funny. lol good luck

It could be any time now!! I have a friend that delivered her baby girl a week before her due date. She was 4 cm dilated for 1 and half week before her water broke. I think you are getting close!! Every pregnancies are different. Just be patient.

There is really no way of knowing..sorry but the good thing is that they don't let you go over 42 weeks so even if your baby is holding out, you still don't have long to wait. Congrats! And Good luck!

Labour can initiate like that I even have 5 young ones and all i actually had substitute into lower back discomfort. Labour can take some hours or days. confer along with her dr or midwife they are rather sturdy at answering ??. and he or she could ask them to envision to work out if she is in labour.
