Barry is right, The war has cost in the Trillions, That is $1Billion Xs 1000, so, He could have replaced each and every home and business lost to the fires in CA. 2000 times . Could have Doubled ssi for the retired and disabled +100% health care coverage for them and all children for 20+years,Why is nothing done in Iraq but the cash to rebuild is GONE?Just think if it would have been spent on clean energy technology and we shared the plans with the rest of the world? Instead of going down in history as the president who saved the planet from pollution, He put our grand children in dept to invade a country that had NOTHING to do with 9-11 killing 647,000 men, women &children, 4000 American troops and creating generations of new terrorists to hate America! But aleast Hallibertin ,Black Water and the Oil co.s made A LOT of money , How could the 2 TRILLION $s have helped America?

Almost $13 bil. a month on Iraq's war!!

ITS MIND BOGGLING!

When you start thinking about the numbers and how/what
could had been done instead, to help and improve the country and the people in need, internal/external !

What's more frustrating is that, Iraqi people are going to pay
for bush's dumb mistakes for decades to come.

The money spent in Iraq measure s in the trillions so far.

A trillion is a thousand times a billion.

That is the same ratio as a penny is to a ten dollar bill.

If someone is wasting 10s and hundreds, would you ask what a penny or two could buy?

Because you pretty much just did that!

I know that the United States needs more medical personnel as well as more teachers. A boost in pay to these employees or an improvement in the workplace (especially in the schools) would be very helpful.

Well I say he should of spent it on making our borders more secure. I would spend it on a good trip to Japan and maybe South Korea for about 4 months. A home, a new car, a good amount to charities that feed and help homeless people and domestic violence. Then invest the rest and live off the interest it would bring in each year. =)

I'm not up to date on the exchange rate but I'm sure you could get a house with a seaview and a shiny new car at least.

safer schools, medication for seniors, cures for diseases, tax refunds, etc... the list could go on and on but attempting world peace I guess is costly too.
