The Arizona Cardinals are the longest running football organization dating back to 1899. They moved to Chicago, then St.Louis, then Phoenix, and re-chartered as Arizona. After that things get a little crazy because of the disorganization of professional football during the early first and second decade of the 20th century. It was the Green Bay Packers, then the Chicago Bears (Staleys until 1922), the New York Giants, and the Detroit Lions (formerly the Portsmouth,OH Spartans until 1933). There were many teams to come and go, but these are the oldest organizations that are still around, even if they started in a different city.
