So funny that I came across this question... I have recently been very depressed because I am at risk for Huntington's disease. I was experiencing every symptom that defines HD. I was stumbling, not concentrating, becoming irritable, muscle spasms, etc. I finally, after even thinking about suicide, decided to start to think more positively and instead of telling myself that I know I have it, I wanted to see if anything would go away if I told myself that I am healthy today and that I don't think I have it. Would you believe that I have not lost my balance once today? I have been doing this for three days. The brain is a powerful thing. I believe now that we live the way we feel. It is all a state of mind. Think negative and feel like crap and attract crap. Think positive and fool your brain and feel better. I will never let myself get down again because I know I can change my thoughts and it will literally change me physically. I wish I could tell the world! Choices make us.

We make our own choices. And the choices we make depict on the choices we will make in the future. Our choices we make in life is like a domino effects. The will either stay on a straight line or curve and the mistakes we make, we have the choice to get back on track and make better choices.

Most of our lives are determined by factors beyond our control. For example, we do not choose:

Our genetics
Our parents and family
Any congenital defects we may have
Our initial socioeconomic status
Our conditions of our early formative years
Our time period and place of birth
Our nation and culture of birth

Once, we grow up a little and gain some independence, we may have choices, or at least the perception of choice, but the options we have to choose from are still determined by the factors listed above. It's a wonderfully inspiring thought that our lives are totally determined by our choices, but its just not true.

In line with islamic teaching God has given us the last life guide that is the holy Qur'an.God gives us the free choice whether we will obey or not all of the contents of Qur'an.But God gives us the warning as its consequencies.
So I think we should make choices and do not choices make us.We should select the best choice for making us happy and save in our lives here on this earth and in the life after death.

I could not answer you directly but seems this would help a lot... "you are what you eat" and seems touches also... "food for thoughts".

Of what you got, makes your choice dependent to it, and if you agree, what others see on your choices, makes you of their judgment of your choices... as if in correlations of interactions will really makes you chose. :o)
