I flip out when my skin breaks out, well it is having a party today and I am super upset. I have been feeling sick for two weeks and got diagnosed with mono, I am having trouble with all my credits in school and hating my major but my parents wont let me NOT major in business so i have to major in journalism and business which will take an extra year.

someone stole my debit card and put me in 200 dollars in debt, i completely bombed an accoutning test i studied hard for, I am sad because I dont have any music in my life anymore, because I dont have time.

I wish i could get better, move to NYC and sing, then i would have to leave my family and my boyfriend and I could never leave them.... blah.... super duper sad and ready to fall asleep again....

Well....you have to understand that you are physiologically 7 emotionally at a "great disadvantage". You have mono for crying-out loud! You are going to have fatique and feel like crap for months. You don't have any balance in your life right now....talk about self sacrifice. I am wondering if you shouldn't consider some damage control here. This mono is nothing small...you are probably going to be falling asleep everytime you go to study and not remember anything. You can't afford to screw up your GPA. Sounds like you have a major adjustment issue going on...ALL this combined is sending you falling into a pit of DEPRESSION.

I am thinking you might have to realistically pullout and start over in January. You need some professional insight to this. The doctor that diagnosed the mono and a trusted school counselor might be a start. You can't be the first one to have this happen. Even if you went home and picked up some seasonal work over the holidays while you built your stamina...and earned back the $200 (you got stolen). Connected with your boyfriend again (good for the depressive signs/symptoms). You can come back in January with a running start...hit the ground running.

That is my BEST ANSWER...for the information you have given....I know it isn't perfect....but life is very complex.

Mono is going to exhaust you, lower your immune system and just make everything feel worse than it is. Before you make any major changes in your life or feel that this is it, it won't get better please give yourself a chance to get over this virus!
Eat right, drink plenty of fluids, and above all rest whenever you get the chance to. Boyfriend and friends will just have to understand you need to sleep! Study with the energy and time you do have.
ONce past the worst of this, then use that energy to make some changes. Your major is yours to decide on. If mom and dad refuse to pay for school, then take a loan and choose your future. Get the degree and then strike out on your own for whatever career you want to try. The zits will go away, too!
Good luck to you!
