Ahem excuse me for being "behind" but I was just wondering what myspace is really for. I understand the basics, but I guess what I'm really trying to ask is, when people say "lets talk on Myspace?" What do they mean? IM, comments, or what?. I have a Myspace page, but never go on it because I don't know what the hell to do when somebody says "lets talk on Myspace" in real life. What do people do when they go onto Myspace? Whats the point of logging in besides reading email? I appreiciate positive answers, but no the smartass ones. Thanks mucho, ~Pixie~

Don't feel bad. I don't get it either. I have IM, I have a web page, why would I need MySpace? Guess I am behind as well!
I think it was INTENDED to be an excellent networking opportunity, but I can't see networking for all the other garbage on there. Maybe it is a sign that we are getting old! LOL Or maybe I just need to learn how to navigate it. Yeah, that's it ... I just need to learn how to navigate the site!

When people say, "Let's talk on MySpace," they mean, lets talk.
It could be comments messaging, or IM, depending on their preferences. If someone asks you, "let's talk on myspace." on comments, then maybe you two should talk in comments. Same goes for messaging and IM.
People log in on myspace to read their comments and messages. for me, its exciting if I have just received a comment or message.
In my opinion, myspace is better than just email. We can personalize our profiles, and meet new friends. You can keep in touch with them through Myspace. Bulletins are also fun. if you would like to say something to all your friends, then just post a bulletin.

myspace is a place where friends can message each other like normal, leave people comments for everyone of your friends can see where they can say things like happy birthday to you. You can also download myspace IM and chat with other people online if they are online or leave them messages to read when they log on. It is a great way to talk to your friends online. You can put music on your page for people to listen to. People can make blogs for people to subscribe to.

MySpace has an Instant Messaging program much the same as Yahoo Messenger. It downloads the same way, and you can chat the same way with other MySpace users.
Its also for social networking, message boards, etc....

facebook and Myspace have no longer something to do with saftey. as long as you're smart and don't provide out very own suggestions to people on the two one then they're the two in basic terms as secure. p.s. I say MYSPACE.

Now there is myspace Im which is like yahoo messenger or aim. So now people talk on there like they do those other messengers not by email.

its quite pathetic really.
i suppose myspace is fun by "pimping" it out
in other words "making it look good"
although stupid people my age judge you on your myspace
