Carl & Pearl Butler is who mama always says when I ask her. That's one song she will sing at the dinner table.
I also read Jim Reeves sang it.
And Dolly Parton too.
Probably half of country music!

The first people I heard sing it were Carl and Pearl Butler #1 cetified gold country single in 1962-63.

Carl And Pearl Butler first came out with the song. I had forgotten about that one. Great song!
