McNair has been solid, but he's not quite a hall of famer. 2 or 3 Pro Bowls and a Super Bowl would do it, but that scenario, unfortunately, taint gonna happen.

he was good but not the same since his Titans days. I dont think the hall of fame or pro bowl is in his future anytime soon. He played beyond awful tonight.. All time league low for throwing yards on 13 attempts.

See, but he won't get those Pro Bowl years, he should already be retired or at least be somebody's insurance quarterback...look at his fumble in the first quarter tonight. I like McNair, he was pretty good in his prime, but he's not a Hall of Famer. He's not even in the top ten of active quarterbacks.

No way he is a pro bowl QB. He is one of the worst in the AFC right now. The Ravens are horrible so there will be no Super Bowls in his future.

What? Hall of Shame? Steve Mcnair has been a Pro-Bowl Claiber QB for well over 10 years, he's been the face of the Tennessee Titans for the vast majority of that time. It's not his fault that he has been injured the majority of that time, but that's the only thing that would stop him. He might not be a first ballot HOF, but definitely a HOF.

what has he done to deserve to be there? Absolutely nothing. He is an average (at best) quarterback. Hall of Fame is for the best players at their position at their time. PERIOD.

He is in what someone calls "The Hall of Very Good".
Solid player, but he doesn't jump out at me as an all-time great.

He should have retired about 3 years ago. No hall of fame. I like him though. He and my boy Brett Favre are good Mississippi boys and friends.
