I think it's tough between the two, but I believe the country is more ready to vote for a woman than a black for president. Barack Obama's perceived negatives (what I call the ick factor) is probably slightly greater than Hilary's, but much less deserved. In any case, I do not see an electable democratic candidate out there, at least in my opinion. If I were to pick a dem for president from the candidates, I would pick Joe Biden, but he has a negative side too. Of course the republican field is weak as well. I do not know of a candidate running that I want for president, really. I really like what Ron Paul stands for, but his age concerns me, and I worry he might be a bit of a curmudgeon.
If I had to pick one for president though, then I pick Ron Paul!

Hillary would win even though I think Obama is a better candidate. In terms of Democrats, Obama has less baggage than the rest of candidates, and is motivating and passionate. Hillary just comes across to power hungry from her last minute run to be NY Senator to her decision to enter the 2008 Presidential race.

charc72, if you think the Clintons are the working man or woman's pres., you'd better think again. She talks about healthcare, et al, but what she really wants is to take all your freedoms and your money. She has her hand so deep in big corporate pockets she looks like a dairy vet checking a cow (and she probably should be wearing one of those protective gloves).
I agree with M. the meteor!

Clinton, if the lord will have mercy on us! Obama is a rich man's president. Clinton is for the working class people trying to make a living. Obama is only going to make our pockets lighter than they already are....GOD PLEASE LET HILLARY WIN!!! It's nothing to do with being a female.
Actually they would make an excellent pair together!

Hmm, in a contest to see who gets which assistant manager position in the local Walmart?
I guess Obama would end up in sporting goods while Hillary would end up in the bakery where they can put her fake smile to use.

Obama has a great base, that is motivated, hopeful, and is going to get out and VOTE this primary. I think he can take it. I hope he can take it... for the sake of all of us.

Thank God they aren't the only ones running.

I'm voting for Mike Gravel, but there's not way in hell he's going to win. To many American people have their heads up their asses.
