Help with calc! Can someone help me find distances along a three dimensional plane?

find the distance from (3,7,-5) to each of the following

a) x axis
b) y axis
c) z axis

a) foot of point on x-axis is (3,0,0), so
d² = (3-3)² + (7-0)² + (-5-0)²
d² = 49 + 25 = 74
d = √74

b) going a little faster, foot is (0,7,0), so
d² = 9 + 25 = 34
d = √34

c)
d² = 9 + 49 = 58, d = √58
