first and then a masters degree. But I actually found out that I get them both at once. I am interviewing for a dream job who thinks I have my bachelors degree already but I actually won't get either degree until the end of the year. I am afraid they will think I lied. What should I do?

My school used to offer a combined BBA/MBA program in accounting (yes, students are allowed to start accumulating graduate credits before receiving the undergraduate degree). When I had students in your boat, I just provided them with a letter explaining that they had met course requirements for the BBA degree, but for administrative reasons it had not been awarded yet. Employers were satisfied with that. See if your advisor could provide you with a letter of completion.

It's just a formality.

Tell them that you basically have completed the degree and are awaiting your official graduation at the end of the year.

Your transcripts will show all of the courses you took. Standard is 120 semester hours for a bachelor's. If they see that completed, there shouldn't be a problem. If the employer doesn't see all of the hard work you've completed so far and how close you are to finishing it, then they aren't worth working for. They'll probably not notice when it's time to promote you either.

In a dual degree program, it is very possible to earn graduate level credit before the bachelor's is complete.

In fact, it can be done by anyone with a sufficient GPA. It's called senior privilege and is done all the time.

Explain the situation if asked and expect that this employer understands how this sort of degree program works.

Sir Cyril Taylor should go down on his bended knees that there are any teachers left in schools today. I wouldn't have anything to do with a school anymore. 10 years ago when i voluntarily gave my time to help i had rude, ill disciplined, spoilt bratts to contend with who would not allow a teacher to do their job. I shouted at them and made them leave the room - how did that go down ? They were mortified, basically because i called them rubbish, time wasters, illiterate etc etc but it did the trick. The rest of the class got the benefit of my valuable time to help them with their career projects and the idiots got and learned nothing because i would not allow them back in any lesson that i was a part of after that. On parents evening i was one of the most popular volunteers at the school and got a great deal of thanks from the parents who wholeheartedly supported me. When is this stupid government going to wake up and realise that their changes over the last ten years have only made things worse and introducing the human rights act has almost made thing intollerable ? Teachers are not allowed to shout at pupils, nor discipline them to the extent that a child accepts a punishment - they just will not. You cannot force a child into detention nor can you now exclude them from school for not doing that detention or some busybody will make it their business to make the school take the child back but not until both the school and the education system have paid financially, sorry of course i meant the TAX PAYER. How many of these wilfull children come from homes where there is no taxpayer ? There are lots of good teachers out there who are thoroughly demoralised - educations was supposed to have been their career. Sir Cyril Taylor should be relieved of his position!!!!!

you are misled, my friend! you cannot even begin to accumulate units towards a masters until you BA requirements are satisfied. That means completed...done...get it?
