$20,000 x 0.20 = $4,000 deduction due to a 20% deduction.
so the net salary is $20,000 - $4,000 = $16,000

$20, 000 x 0.05 = $1,000 deduction due to a 5% deduction.

$20,000 x 0.015 = $300 deduction due to a 1.5% deduction.

Well, all that means it there will be 20% removed.

So, to find 20% of $20,000:

$20,000 X .20 (20 percent expressed as a fraction)

= $4,000 so this will be how much will be removed.

So, $20,000 - $4,000 = $16, 000
