Why should Syria stay out of Lebanon and all Lebanese affairs?

So far I have come up with two reasons: 1) Syria is interfering with the democratic process in Lebanon
2) Syria and its ally Hezbollah are bring violence from Israel into the country

Can you think of any others?

Lebanon is in the unfortunate position of been between two countries that hate and fear each other. They will always fight for influence in Lebanon.
