1) "The world of madness is a lot bigger than the world of sanity...Sanity is a little box that you walk around in. Sanity is a little world. Insanity is the universe."

2) "The mind is endless. You put me in a dark, solitary cell; and to you, that's the end. To me, it's the beginning. That's the universe in there. There's a world in there. I'm free."

Interesting. Not quite sure I agree with the author, however.

Quote 1: Seems to be saying that each individual has their own definition of sanity. Since other people are different individuals, they have different definitions of sanity. Therefore, according to your author, the other people must be a part of the insanity.
No, I don't think I agree with that. The whole world is not insane except for me. We are all individuals, however.

Quote2: I agree that many people would be limited in a dark, solitary cell. But that is not the case with every individual. Many introspective people are unafraid of being alone, and have a preference for solitude. Their privacy feeds their imaginations and their souls. They are not lonesome because they always have themselves, and are their own closest companions.

Just who is the author of these quotes?

Great question! I agree with both quotations. Sanity requires following rules, and the more rules you have to follow, the more responsible and sane you supposedly are. Insanity is freedom from any kinds of behavioural codes and conventions. It's the same with the cell metaphor--the body is, ultimately, irrelevant: a free, limitless mind is a world unto itself. When everything has been let go, especially the rules of "normality," one is free to do and think and imagine anything.

the 1st quote is a lie, no person, least of all a madman might desire to probably carry close "the international of something", the universe is previous our comprehension. the 2nd quote is likewise a lie, the suggestions isn't countless, it somewhat is finite, with a constrained scope that leads to dying. human beings, and likely Manson nevertheless qualifies as a guy or woman, adjust to captivity to the final of their skill, and denial is a sort of techniques. he's no longer unfastened, he's incarcerated, and mendacity to himself out of desperation. ultimately, faith aside, evil is an element of actuality, and it somewhat is defined via fact the absence solid. never dabble in the the occult, it somewhat is as risky as insanity. we've an side on human beings like Manson, we are sane. Your sanity, like your integrity is a real possession that some human beings in simple terms do no longer very own. Jealousy or malice lead them to attack what they see in others that eludes them. understand that and savor the reward you have, and pity those much less fortunate than your self. yet to no longer the quantity which you place your self or your sanity in jeopardy.
