You can't come back with the same ID because it would tell you that that ID is in use, even though it can't be accessed.
Eventually Yahoo will die out because all the possible user IDs will have been deactivated at some point and no more possible combinations of letters and numbers will be available, unless if maybe you go for user IDs like
