Hmmmmm...... I don't think even as a little girl I let my mom or dad say this. They knew I was too persistent. lol (Some things never change eh?)

I never did. I mean, I never accepted that as an answer in the first place. It's just someone avoiding work; it's laziness you see in parenting. They don't want to e x p l a i n .
