I see a pattern very similar to the background radiation pics that NASA has been releasing. If I push on my eyeballs I can see bright flashes of light, if I just roll my eyballs around and pretend to focus and squint, I get all sorts of vivid images, usually people's faces. Nobody I know though, but they are in color and as detailed as a photo. What does this mean?
When I was a kid we used to go out and pick wild bluberries all day. Later when I went to bed, as soon as I closed my eyes, there were the bluberries as clear as a bell. Should have bought a screen saver for my eyeballs.....lol

Well I don't know. Let's just test that one out.
Hang tight a second or so.
Okay, now I can tell you. When I close my eyes, I apparently see with my mind's eye and I am seeing a medium reddish brown color with lighter streaks. If I continue with my eyes shut for a few minutes, my mind's eye takes over and produces pictures in my mind. Because with my eyelids closed the mind still conscious wants to see and may be a bit confused as to why we are closing our eyes for no apparent reason. So it begins to overwork itself and it provides me with pictures and to what I am thinking about. If I think about the keyboard, it takes a bit and produces one for me, so that if I still wanted to type and couldn't see it, it would be available to me. I think it probably depends on the individual as to what we see.

If I close them when it's light I see things that are called floater's! The majority of floaters are due to normal degenerative changes in the vitreous, the jelly-like floaters because of a retinal tear without a detachment, the tear usually can be treated with minor surgical procedures that can effectively prevent a retinal detachment.

Depends on why I closed my eyes...
Was it time to go to sleep?
Was it because my bf came close to me?
Was it because I didn't want to see what was coming next?
Generally speaking, I see darkness for a bit, then shades of gray.

When I close my eyes I see what looks like a T.V. screen with lots of static and neon light flashing across it. Is that normal?....who knows.

It depends if I'm in a dark or light atmosphere.
When its bright outside, I see a reddish black.
At nighttime, it's all black.
Sometimes if I've looked at a bright light or the sun, I'll see a bright spot in the darkness.
