Last night. My five year old is into rhyming big time and he was trying to come up with a variation of the "See you later alligator/in a while crocodile line" After a while he announced "See you later Dark Vader" You never know how kids are going to hear words, I guess Dark and Darth sound pretty similar.
He'll never top the time we went to the beach and the swimming area was marked by buoys. He looked out at the water and told me very seriously to "not swim past the boobies" (why would I want to?) Life as a parent is never dull.

This morning. I work with children, and I sing a song when it is time to clean up. I got approached by a child who said, "stop singing that song..." because she didn't want to stop playing... and I quickly covered my mouth, told her it was time to clean up, then continued singing it around other children. I looked back at her, and she kept giving me this look! I had to crack up! At least it lightened the mood and she ended up smiling anyways!
