You miss the constant weather. There are no suprises as to the daily forecast. In Detroit you can go from sunny, to cloudy, to foggy, to rainy, and SNOW.
The desert landscape. The mountains, cactus, sunsets. Mother Nature at its finest. Something you can't see, feel, or smell in Detroit.
The people-Coming from New Jersey originally, I found the people of Arizona so much more friendly! People say "Hello" and wave all the time! Not just our snow birds either.
Come back soon!

Because you go outside right now and it's cold, while it's warm in Phoenix. Think of Phoenix in the summer and you'll be glad you're in Detroit. It's a tradeoff.

Probably because in phoenix it rarely snows. You don't have go out & warm up your car an hour in advance. Nor do you have scrape ice from the windows. There's never a worry of blak ice in Phoenix.

for the shopping!
Phoenix has the best outlet malls in the nation.
AND...don't forget those beautiful orange and periwinkle sunsets that you only get over the desert.

For the same reason I miss California in the summer. When summer's here, all I do is think of California.
