"About 21,000 allowed past legal checkpoints by mistake"
I mean doesn't it just affirm your safety and security at the borders? Can you thank bush for his "war on terror" 6 years after 911 and no border security to speak of?

hotpep- have you ever asked Bush what he is doing SINCE 911? yeah we thought so. before 911, 911 hadn't happend. after 911 it is paramount to act responsible and in the interest of America. Something bush fails to do. Does Bush make you proud for failing to secure America?
BTW go watch fox fo 20 minutes if you can handle it. is is mind numbing how swayed it is.

Greetings. Why does everyone assume, for some strange reason, maybe from all the propaganda about it? that securing our borders is super important? And 9/11, how many Mexicans were there piloting the drones that ran into the world trade centers? None. How many acts of terrorism were carried out by Mexican nationals in the United States? Again None. Border security is simply a terrorist action to keep the people who cannot think for themselves in fear. Making them think that the rest of the world is out to get us so they themselves can do so. A terrified human is a defenseless human. Why do you think we have the all the time "Terror alerts." "expect attack at any moment and go hide in your plastic sheet taped shut with duct tape." Just to keep people in fear, not because there is any threat. And why do people continue to believe that 9/11 with its impossible physics and total lack of evidence of what happened was actually a terror act staged by anyone other then our own side, to make people fear and trust their leader to save them? look at it from the viewpoint of a thinking human being, not as a blank minded slave afraid of the whip. Think for yourself. look at the information available, not at the propaganda that is poured on us by the captive media services. Think with your mind. not with your paranoid fears that the world hates us for the freedoms we don't actually have. that is insane. The United States has a huge number of miles of border. over 3,500 with Canada alone. Many thousands of miles of shore line that is not even projected to be guarded in the future. one hell of a lot of miles of border with Mexico mostly through deserts. We are not a rich enough nation to be able to afford a huge military force to guard our borders against non-existent terrorists out to steal our non-existent freedoms from us. There is a huge difference between the invader and the invaded. we are the invader, terrified that someone else is going to invade us. we don't know who. but we know they hate us? That is the classic sympthom of Paranoia. Grow up. Use your head. Think. Don't be a mindless recepticle for the crude propaganda put out by the republicans. We are not Nazi Germany. Quit acting like we were. It failed them. Will fail us as well. They let Nazi propaganda rot their reason and believed their government under the Nazi party was not lying to them. Surprise. it was. and our Republican party is now doing the same to us. Lying.

The border wasn't secure LONG BEFORE 9/11. How about we spread the blame around to all the Presidents who have yet to take care of the problem. Mexico was a separate country was before Bush was even born, but OK lets blame him for that too.
great "source" by the way....CNN is more than a bit liberal.

Bush cares not, he only cares about getting that check to send to Iraq and then here he comes back again and still our troops have no Armour , no safety precautions all goes I mean some goes to the Iraq Party, where the rest goes your guess good as mine
The happiest of my life will be 01/20/2009, he will give Air Force One back, but we'll have to get a new one because between him and oh Laura , all his relatives and friends, it has seen it's better days. You can't get it to go back to Crawford the day when Hillary is sworn in. I don't care if catches a bus right to that Crawford door cause Air Force One will be no more, I'll holler and sing , tap dance and fall down on my knees Thanking God that the monster is gone , never to have to see his nasty teeth , that old rolled up sleeved green shirt those polyester brown pants, that old belt and them old dirty boots. He has one other outfit that navy short sleeve short and those old navy polyester pants but still that old black silver bullet belt them old dirty boots. We should order him a box of Dental Floss , Heavy Duty Toothbrush, Soda Toothpaste and Peroxide Mouthwash.and get some Shampoo. Send it to him COD.
GOOD RIDDANCE.

Yes and unfortunately I just don't think that any of the front runners in either party if elected is really going to do anything substantial about the problem. Except endorse legislation that will encourage more illegalss to come here without doing anything to stop them from coming. A path to citizenship for those here cannot happen until we have effectively stopped them from coming.

Greetings. I could ask. why in the international do you sense we would desire to continuously have a iron curtain around our u . s . a . like Soviet Russia had? did no longer paintings for them. why do you assume that it would paintings for us? we've many hundreds of miles of border, such as approximately various thousand miles of shore line and 3,500 miles of border with Canada to construct partitions on. the place are we meant to get the money to construct the iron curtain from? and who is going to guy the watch towers with the gadget weapons? You do understand that the iron curtain is between the excuses that Russian communism fell. it costs a brilliant number of money to guy a brilliant fence equipment and take a investigate to maintain human beings in or out.

Growing up on the border, I used to watch hundreds of them pass everyday: thru the Rio Grande and into downtown, to a hard day's work each day.
Security certainly has not gotten worse. We all know or, should know, it has gotten much better.

It is the singular biggest slap in the face our government can give us. Who cares about who did what before nine-eleven? That has no bearing on what hasn't been done since. Every time I hear someone praising the administration and republicans in general for their strong stance on national security I want to puke. SECURE OUR BORDERS!!!

George W Bush, Giuliani, McCain, Huckabee and all of the Democrats running for president are dead wrong on border security and the handling of illegal aliens.
Tancredo is best, Thompson is good, Romney is good and Paul is good too on this issue.
