That's what I was saying. Why they are comparing them. Brady Quinn just got drafted. Idk. I don't think he can amount to what Tom Brady has.

i don't think there will be another tom brady. there will be plenty of great quarterbacks, maybe some better, but tom brady has really developed his own style out there - he looks different than any other quarter on the field. as far as quinn, he might end up being good, but he doesn't have the arm strength to be tom brady. brady has all the passes, even the one where he can rocket it into a very tight spot that most quarterbacks don't even see or lack the strength to get it through in time. that said, quinn might be a decent quarterback, but the nfl requires more than lofting up jumpballs to downfield receivers like he did in college

Being the next Tom Brady requires some damn good luck. Quinn needs the talent, the composure, the team, the chemistry, the opportunity and some plain dumb luck.

I'm a Pats fan and to be honest, Tom Brady is lucky to be Tom Brady. What would have happened had Drew Bledsoe not almost died during that Jets game back in 2001? He could very well still be the most talented backup QB we've never heard of. Perhaps he would have ended up a starter without the team chemistry that the Pats have. Perhaps he could have ended up with a coach that was not able to exploit his talents.

Not even comparable, Tom Brady was not a first round draft pick (he was virtually unknown coming out of college) and ended up becoming a big surprise that cost the patriots virtually nothing in his first year. Brady Quinn, on the other hand, was overly hyped (remember the rumors that he could be the #1 pick overall), and drafted in the first round, costing cleveland a considerable amount of money. The only players that can currently be compared to Brady would be Romo, Anderson, or Brees (not implying they are going to do what Brady did, just saying they were virtual unknowns that really surprised)

why not...if they can put the type of defense in Cleveland that the Pats had in '99 it could work out. Quinn was a better QB in college so it's possible...Brady was basically a nobody who took over a team that Drew Bledsoe had moving great before injury.

but to be honest, i think both aren't that special, that's me though

Uh no. Perhaps when Quinn actually plays in a game which will probably be never cause Derek Anderson is playing great, then you can start to make comparisons.

No way! At least not for the Browns they have a great QB in Derek Anderson. Quinn might be a great QB in the NFL but not for Cleveland.

He could be the next Tom Brady. They were even coached by the same QB coach!
