Thank you! Look to my question right below you. I'm sick of that! Those people are such an embarrassment.

Edit: I'm glad too! No problem at all! I added you too. I'm so happy to find someone else on the same page as me. I'm sure Yankee Fan for Life will be too. Hopefully all the guys too. Ok maybe except for that John Rocker guy. But I don't care about him.

Edit: John Rocker, haha I didn't even need to mention him. He answered being the stupid person he is.

The greatest I've ever seen? I'd hate to say it because I hate the guy and everything he stands for, but no question...It's Barry Bonds. Okay, aside from 762 homeruns...and 72 in 2001. What he did in 2002 was more impressive. He had 46 homers that year, which is tremendous, how many people hit 40 a year? Okay, second he batted .370. He only had 403 at bats, because he had 198 walks. He has over 500 career steals, 2558 walks. His numbers are incredible. BUT!!! The greatest player ever, as of now...Babe Ruth, but Alex Rodriguez will go down as the greatest ever. He has more tools than anyone ever. Gold gloves, homerun titles, MVP awards...But no championships-that will hurt him. But w/e...Greatest ever-Ruth, that I've seen-Bonds...

Well honey, this is not about being suave, pretty, hottest, etc. This is about idol-isms and other than baseball, other sports fans have been more fanatic about their sporting idols too. One example is none other than ex-England football team captain David Beckham and his family.

Beckham has grown in stature ever since his marriage to his superstar wife Victoria Beckham and it stays that way ever since then. His appearance from a boyish outlook to manhood is the turning point with Victoria "guiding" him along the way to fame though.

Girls are going gaga over him with quotes like "He's so suave", "He's so cool", or "He's charming". On the other hand, the dislike-es will say quotes like "What a wimp", "He's being a wife server", or even "He's not as charming though". If this carries on, there's no ending to idolisation though.

To me, I will prefer to follow the team and the style of play, be it a team or an individual game events as that's where their potentials have placed them into the world map though.

Cheers and have a nice week ahead :)

It's pretty annoying, but I expect those types of questions on an open forum like this one. I've learned to just ignore them, the same as with any other oft-repeated question.

I don't think the male fans here really think the askers of those questions are representative of all female baseball fans. We know that most female fans are paying attention to the game, not the looks of the players.

Gees Louise! You are not required to answer them. They have every right to ask. Everyone likes different things. If women find baseball players sexy -- and why shouldn't they? -- what's the harm in them asking? More annoying to me by FAR is the endless 'what song do they play when' and 'A-Rod -- or Bonds, or Sheffield or the Pope himself -- is trash' that goes on and on and on and on. Learn to skip over them to get to the stuff you like. Be a little accepting of people. It's the bashers who need discipline.

Not all of us watch baseball just for the guys even though the hot ones *cough* Barry Zito* make it more enjoyable. I watch it for the same reason everyone should..... I love the game it's one beautiful thing.
