there are days, all these years later..a smell of apple pie, a fragrance, a dream, hearing someone in a grocery store, i still remember... you do not save the memory in your mind, your heart has already done it for you, consentrate more on honoring your parents by living by example, they are still with you, and will forever be.... of this i am sure.
god's speed to you..

I keep photographs of happier times, and also the photos in my head; in other words, memories. I light candles on their birthdays, and the anniversaries of their deaths. I also have boxes full of souvenirs, and I've still got greeting cards they would send me on my birthday. I have a lot of my mom's furniture and knick-knacks, and part of her doll collection. I keep their memories alive because they live on in my heart. And though some people might find it foolish, and don't believe in God or an afterlife, I like to think that when I die, I will be reunited with my parents, my brother, and other loved ones who have gone before me.
