More than once! I figure it out when I try to start the thing.

How could you unlock the door if it wasn't your car? I'v tried to open a few wrong cars and the blood drained from my face thinking I had the wrong keys. I still look for my old car when I go out to a parking lot until I see my new one . The colours aren't even close either.

Unlocked the door ? I have tried to get into a car that was like mine until I noticed something in the seat that didn't belong to me.

No, I've never gotten in, but I had my key in the hatchback of another car trying to open it. It took me a few minutes to realize I had the wrong car. I now have bright red/white seat covers and always know which car is mine.
My great grandmother went out of the store before mom one time. When mom got in the car she saw Ma wasn't there. She looked over and there was Ma in someone else's car. At least they were both red cars. lol

No, but I've tugged on a few doors and tried the key before figuring out that it wasn't my car. For the last several years all these damn little cars look alike! I remember when you could see a car coming down the road and knew right away the year and the model.

That is why I try to park my car on top of a building. I know no one else will park there. I also when I drove used to have only ugly cars. No one wants to park next to an ugly car for fear that it will demean their own. I had one car that had so many dents in it that no one parked next to it for fear of the dents spreading to their car. I didn't tell them that every time I came back to the car, I would hammer a new dent into the metal. Make it look more lived in so to speak. Give it something to think about too.

Once, was embarrassed as hell, got out, found my car about 3 cars down! I felt like an idiot, and there was a joke published just a few days ago about a gun waving crazy woman! Yes, I have done the same thing. Phil

I can't resist. If you only take the question and not the description, you could answer, No. I've never found my car in a parking lot. I walked home and been walking ever since.

Yes! And I was cursing because my key wouldn't open the driver's door and I had to go around and unlock the passentger's door in order to get in!

I came out of the store and thought to myself, "I thought I parked farther back." I got in the driver side and thought, "what's that smell?" it smelled like a womans car. Then I looked in the back seat to see a bunch of stuff that wasn't mine. Like the idiot that I am, I kept going with this wondering who put their stuff in my car. I looked around for friends or relatives who may have put their stuff in my car, then I spotted my car one row back. (only then did it click). I quickly got out and looked around. Good thing no one noticed. (We lived in a small town, no one ever locked their car doors or home doors).
