I have a close girlfriend who has been a tomboy all her life and still is. She is opinionated, bossy, stubborn, and very competitive. She wears people out--a little of her goes a long way.

A tomboy is like a girl who acts and sometimes dresses like a boy. A tomboy is usually adverturerous, bossy, just pretty much headstrong, like a boy.

.A girl who is not afraid to get out and play in the dirt, or hike, or play sports, fish, hunt, anything outdoors. This does not mean she isn't feminine, She is someone who loves a variety of things and doesn't feel inhibited by society's idea of what a girl should do. A true tomboy can balance the best of both sexes worlds.

A g!rl who acts as a boy would is a Tomboy.
Example= Me! I, a Tomboy, don't like all these frilly preppy things like "Hannah Montana". I like old school, like Hi-Top Converse Shoes. Nobody wears them anymore because all the g!rls are wearing "flip-flops" and "Bratz" shoes. I like to go old school and stick with the classics. A Tomboy also likes to skateboard, climb trees, those kinds of things.

Well I was a tom boy growing up. I liked to play with cars(but I also played with dolls too) build forts, play cowboys and Indians, play sports. I think it's someone who likes to do "boy" stuff as well as "girl" stuff. Or should I say what society conceives as girl and boy behavior./

My 12 year old daughter has always been a tomboy.
She loves Soccer,Football,V8 supercars and is Wrestlings No 1 Fan!!!!
Has never worn a dress and refuses too.
Actually I lie she did wear one once for her Holy Communion and believe me you should have seen her face.
I love her for being herself and for not being a follower like her girly peers.
