Nope, but I HAVE blown an engine on one the busiest 12 lane highways in Toronto. While I was in THE PASSING LANE. In winter. I was lucky to get the car stopped in the inside breakdown lane. When the towtruck (and we have hundreds patrolling at all times, the vultures) pulled up behind me he ALMOST rearended me from all the spilt oil.

Both. I also had the hood fly open in the far left lane on interstate 5 near Sunland. In my younger days I had lots and lots of blow outs. That what happens when you pay 3 to 5 dollars each for your tires! I was a single mother with 3 children working as a waitress. Tough times. One of my cars only cost me $30. A 54 ford.

I had a blowout at 70 miles an hour on the I-15/I-215 "split" coming down from Cajon Pass into the lower parts of San Bernardino County in California. Eased down on the speed and got it over onto the shoulder. Used the emergency phone and got AAA out there in a hurry. The put my spare on and I was on my way.

Yes I have a tire blow on the interstate while in the middle lane, I pulled over and as I was changing it, some idiot walked up and stated my hubcap had caused damage to his car, I walked over to the side of my car, picked up the cap and treatened to beat the he** out of him if he tried to call the police and press false insurance charges.

I have also had a flat tire with a 16' rented truck late at night.

Thank God for CB radios.

Yes, I was in a church van with 3 other people and the tire blew out on the Interstate right under my seat. It sounded like something exploded. We were in a Chevy and had to take it to the Ford place, since it was nearer to get it fixed. lol

My husband said he was in a small car with 7 people and had the front tire blow out on the Interstate. The car was sliding all over the road. The driver was shook up, but she didn't hit anything. The guys were able to fix the tire and they went on their way.

My sister and I were driving on the freeway with 3 small children, and I had a blow out on my front tire. I pulled off onto the shoulder and was trying to change the tire.... (I can change a tire)... but before I could loosen the lug nuts, a truck topped the hill and immediately began slowing down. The driver pulled up behind us, jumped out of the truck pulling on his gloves, and walked up and began changing the tire. Without a word, he finished, put the bad tire into my trunk, and began walking back to his truck. I offered to pay him, but he wouldn't hear of it. He just got back into his truck and pulled out onto the interstate. He was a God-send.

Yes, on I- 95 doing 70 miles per hour. It scared the hell out of me, it took hours before I calmed down.

I also had the hood of a truck fly up in the HOV lane and couldn't see anything, which terrified me

I have never had that happen to me. I'd never drive on a winding mountain road. Guess I've watched too many movies. LOL

Yes....about a mile from home and it was raining. I had just started walking when a young British couple stopped to help. They had just moved here and were very sweet. He wanted to change the tire but it was really pouring and I wouldn't let him. They brought me home, and my husband went back later. I'm still grateful they stopped!

Yes, a blow out on hwy 80 out of Salt Lake City..rear tire on double axel RV..couldn't figure out why so many people were waving @ us until a trucker pulled up alongside, blasted his horn and yelled "you have a blow out" we have learned to stop and check when people honk or wave..as there is usually a very good reason for them to do so.
