If you are on the Eastern part of the city, you might wish to explore the Apache Trail. It travels up into the Superstition Mountains, has gorgeous scenic views. Visit the touristy Tortilla Flat. Wind your way around through to the Roosevelt Dam. Head up Rte. 88 return via 60.

You can explore the Mogillion Rim through Payson to Show Low along Rte. 260.

You can explore Sedona's famous red rocks.

Ha ha I have driven the 7 hour drive from Orange county to Phoenix 6 times and I have only gone using the 10 freeway, I usually stop at the outlet malls but for me most of the drive looked the same...like a desert. So maybe that is not the best way to go if you want to sight see but I know there are websites that help plan road trips...http://www.azcentral.com/travel/drives/travel_scenicdrives.html this sight had all kinds of stuff to go see on road trips in Arizona- hope it helps. P.S. bring chap stick (if you thought California was dry...)

It's off the beaten path, but there is a walkway out into the Grand Canyon between Phoenix and Las Vegas. The Skywalk is brand new and kind of popular. An Indian Tribe owns it.

Depends on where you are coming from. A little more info would help.

Sorry man! nothing much to see on the 10 freeway. It's all desert for about 2 hours, then you get to Blythe, and then a few more hours of just desert again. I guess there's a military museum in Palm Desert.

Of course it depends where you are coming from. But there is Sedona, the Grand Canyon, Petrified Forest, Window Rock, Tombstone, Kartchner Caverns and Lake Havasu.

Lake Havasu has the London bridge. You could drive up to Hoover dam.
