Pour in a lot of shampoo to let its detergents soak through and help that crap dissolve in the water of the bowl. Use the plunger vigorously to break it up and keep flushing everytime the water level goes down partway.

you might have the clog, further down the pipe, if you can get to the clean-out cap on the pipe you could try a larger snake,,,I have had to do this more than once,especially if the pipe has cracked by tree roots and the roots are growing in the pipe or just crumbled because of age,,,they used to make the pipes out of cast iron or clay, and they can crack

depending on the fricitonal force applied from the excrement onto the toilet and the mass of the snake, we can use the formula
fapplied equals mass x excrement volume which then you get
plunger squared.
