Are short women jealous of tall women?

I'm really starting to wonder this because I get a lot of comments about my height, and then sometimes I feel these same women are quite rude to me at times. I can NOT understand what is the big deal and why a woman would be hating on another women just because of her physical stature. Enlighten me

btw...I consider any woman under 5'5" short and any woman 5'7 and up tall...

I'm 5'10".

Hmmm... is the air up there thin?! Who CARES what you think about short women? Has it ever occurred to you that most men and lesbians find you horsey?! And I don't mean that in a sexy way! Most of the guys in the feminist section would feel like someone cut off their bullocks if they were seen with a taller woman in public... hehe...

You are tall! Nothing wrong with that, though.
I'm 5' and 1/2 inch tall. (That's right! 1/2 inch!)
I'm not jealous of tall woman at all! I'm happy being short because I do get quite a bit of good attention from it!
That's just me, though. I'm sure some women out there get jealous.
You see, us short woman get treated with the "poor birdy fell out of a tree" attitude. Some people see us as week which can get on our nerves but I find it fun when I prove them wrong.
Taller woman get treated with the "she's a strong elegant woman" attitude which a lot of short women would love.
In short (no pun intended), people want what they can't have and if someone else has it, we get jealous.

I'm 5'3" but long legs and well proportioned. Wouldn't want it any other way. I am very athletic and I find that I have way better hand eye coordination as well as initial speed compared to the tall girls (in soccer). They seem to be a little slower doing anything with those long limbs. The only jealousy I could understand is between a short girl and a tall girl who both want to be models or basketball players, there's no market for petites there.

No, I'm Asian and fairly short, by your definition anyway. I like myself like this, and I would never want to be taller.

This can go two ways though. Most tall women have awful looking feet for instance - there's a stereotype. If short women feel uncomfortable around you it's probably because their necks hurt from looking up at you.

The thing is, I don't see the need for you to single us out as we can do the same.

I'm 160 cm I think that's 5'3" and I am short, but I never feel jealous of tall people. Most of my friends are taller than me.
I think tall people may have some height advantages but I would like to be a little taller.
It's no big deal to me.

Well not necessarily jealous.. but a lot of women would definitely like to be your height.. you're very blessed. I'm 5'5", of course i'm only 16 but still i would love to be 5'10". But if the girls who say anything negative about your height.. you shouldn't worry about it at all. There isn't anything wrong with being tall &... it's definitely some sort of jealousy issue! Look on the bright side you could be a model if you wanted & the shorter girls under 5'9" probably wouldn't even have a shot ;) good luck!

I agree with redladee. Women can be so cruel to other women. I'm 5'8" and think nothing of it, until I hear a mean comment from another woman. It seems to hurt more from a woman because I expect that they should know how awful it feels to be appraised and ridiculed based on appearance. I recently had one woman (5') tell me she can get more men than me, completely out of nowhere, because I'm too tall. Why did she feel the need to tell me this? I think she might have issues, not necessarily due to height. I also think that men play women's insecurities against eachother. I try to avoid men who put down women who are completely opposite of me, because I know they are doing it just to pit me against other women so I think I'm "special" and will f*ck them. I could give more specific examples....

I am personally not jealous of taller women. I am 5 feet tall, and have gotten quite used to my short stature. I think that both being tall and being short have their advantages and disadvantages.(being petite definitely has its advantages in certain arenas...if you get my drift :-) ) If anything, sometimes I feel like taller women think less of me because I am short (as if I am not fully a woman or something). But again, I have learned not to worry about this if that's the vibe I get from another woman...I think a lot of guys like the cute smaller girls. I know my husband absolutely adores it.

No. I think tall women can be beautiful but only when they're a model or on the cover of sports illustrated. Petite (but not excessively short) to average height is perfect. Excessively tall isn't attractive either. Contrary to the belief, guys do like short girls/petite girls more often than tall girls. Tall girls have the short end of the stick. Short girls can wear heels, but tall girls cant shave a few inches off of their head. Its the truth. BTW, you're probably paranoid that people are jealous of your height and that women hate you because you're tall. Maybe there are a few jealous people out there but its unlikely. It's just kind of intimidating and in your face when seeing an extremely tall woman. keep in mind tall women and short women alike can be beautiful or ugly but carry yourself well have a little confidence. 'nough said.

I'm a hair over 5', and I'd love to be just 2 little inches taller. So yeah, I'm sometimes jealous of the really tall women.
